Beres Hammond, Maxi Priest and Romain Virgo Will Take the NJPAC Stage

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center will hold an amazing lovers rock night on Saturday August 10,2019 at 8 p.m. Beres Hammond, Maxi Priest and Romain Virgo will all share one stage.

“Rockaway” and “Tempted to Touch” singer Beres Hammond will serenade the crowd with his sweet reggae music. He is known for his classic reggae songs and sweet serenading voice. Beres is one of many people who shaped and continues to uphold the reggae music legacy.

Along side him will be British reggae artist Maxi Priest and Jamaican artist Romain Virgo. Of Jamaican decent Maxi Priest is a GRAMMY nominated vocalist. With recordings like “Wild World” and “Close to You” he is one of two British reggae artist with a Billboard number one. After launching his U.K. label Dugout he took some time off and returned in 1996 with his album “Man with the Fun”. In 1996, Priest also had a UK Top 20 hit “That Girl” with Shaggy.

Jamaican artist Romain Virgo is the youngest winner of Jamaica’s “Rising Stars” competition. With his first hit record “Can’t Sleep” he has only gone up from there. In September 2011, he was the first Jamaican artist to perform at the Academy of Country Music in Nashville, Tennessee. Now you can find him on the same stage as Beres Hammond and Buju Banton. Some of his hits include “Soul Provider” and “We No Worry”.
