Sleepy Hallow talks his newest mixtape “Don’t Sleep” and becoming a parent at 19

Brooklyn rap artist Sleepy Hallow, is only 19 and heating up the streets with his latest mixtape “Don’t Sleep”, which gives us the inside story of his life growing up in Brooklyn, NY. Throughout his project he features his closest friend Sheff G, who recently was denied to perform during Rolling Loud New York among several other artists.

His new master piece has 14 distinctive tracks including “Breaking Bad” with his right hand man Sheff G. The song hits 124,000 views in just 3 days on YouTube, and lyricists shared between him and Sheff are unmatched. The duo share a chemistry which is rare in the music industry, each time they collaborate on a song it creates a spark within their music.

Sleepy details the moment he found out he was going to be a dad, “Whatever she wants imma give it to her”. As he continues to make music he respects the craft of his fellow New York counterparts. When we asked him why aren’t New York artist blowing up like the south he simply said no one is sticking together “too many of them wanna make it known that they LIT over there” said Sheff G. “They not going to put this side in a position to win cause they lit!”

After asking Sleepy would him and Casanova do a song together he simply said “We only doing features if they right, shout out to him though he’s doing his thing.”

Now that Brooklyn based artist such as Casanova, Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Sheff G and Sleepy are climbing the charts, it's only a matter of time that New York will soon take the crown back.

With surprise celebrity guest from Uncle Murda, Growing Hip-Hop New York Vina Love, Hustle in Brooklyn star Ivy Rivera, and Hot 97’s Who’s Next host Shaboogie, it was an eventful hip-hop night. Not to mention guests were also treated with drinks and food provided by none other than Buffalo Wild Wings.
