Yesterday, we lost a legend. 41 year-old Kobe Bryant and his 13 year-old daughter Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant passed away in a helicopter crash in Calabasas. The two along with seven other people on board were on their way to a basketball practice in another part of California. No one survived the helicopter crash. The other victims on board include John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester and pilot, Ara Zobayan .
Kobe and Gianna had an unbreakable bond. The two shared the love for the game of basketball. Gianna had big plans to go to the WNBA in the future . Kobe Bryant recently retired and was enjoying post-basketball life. You would see him coaching and cheering the Mambas basketball team, where Gianna was a member of. Kobe was a big advocate for women’s basketball. He encouraged all the players on his team as if they were his own daughters.
The NBA has always been a major of Kobes life since 1996 when he was drafted. He has a list of long and impressive career accolades .
