How To Be Romantic Everyday

Happy Valentines Day!

Today is the day that is dedicated to being the most romantic in your relationship. Some people feel as if this day is an excuse for a gift exchange or to get your partner to do things they don't normally do.

Although I don't completely agree, is it possible that these Valentine's Day foes have a point? Is V-day the day where we do things we otherwise wouldn’t do? Do we use this day as an all-in-one romance day until the next holiday or celebration? Does the level of romance in your relationship dwindle after today?

If so, you’re not alone. But I have some suggestions that will help you keep the romance alive even after the Valentine’s Day fever dies down.

  1. Self Care: Before you can make anyone else happy, you have to make sure that you are happy.

  2. Small Gestures: This can include calling or texting to let them know you’re thinking of them, buying their favorite snack and this also includes actively listening. Sometimes a person wants to know is that they are being heard.

  3. Spontaneous Dates: Routines can be boring, although necessary to make sure you spend enough time with each other. But it doesn’t hurt to break out of your routine once in a while.

  4. Take Initiative: Take charge. If your partner is primarily the dominant one, the one who plans everything. Flip the script and take your turn at being the boss.

  5. Make your partner's favorite food: Everyone loves food and most people have more than one! Weekly, or even monthly make your partner one their favorite meals. If their favorite cuisine is outside of your skill level take them to their favorite restaurant instead or order take out.

Apply these five things to your life to help increase the level of romance everyday and let us know how it works out for you!
