Update: Coronavirus in The US

As the lethal and non curable coronavirus continues to spread across the world it is important to stay up to date on where this virus has been detected and confirmed in the U.S.

This weeks update includes the following:

  • Earlier this week Los Angeles County declared a state of emergency as the number of confirmed cases of the COVID-19 went from 1 to 6 in a matter of 24 hours.

  • A cruise ship that has had a coronavirus fatality is being held off of the coast of San Francisco so that testing may be done on all other passengers.

  • The number of cases in New York has increased to eleven. With 10 of those cases being in New York State outside of the five boroughs of New York City ( Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx, and Staten Island).

  • There have been eleven confirmed deaths from the coronavirus in the U.S. Several news outlets report these figures which were last updated Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

  • CBS News reports as of today, Thursday March 5,2020 there are 160 people infected and or being tested for the coronavirus in 17 states.

  • The CDC has advised anyone showing symptoms, coughing, high fever, runny nose, muscle pain, and other symptoms listed on their website to seek medical attention and to stay home to lower the possibility of infecting others.

In other news concerning the spread of the coronavirus, President Donald Trump has claimed that the World health Organization 3.4% global death rate estimate is false.
