Stores Making Time For Seniors To Shop

Many stores have been out of the essentials such as toilet paper, paper towel, water, hand sanitizer and so much more. People have been lining up outside of stores before they open so they can stock up on household items.

Some elderly people cannot get make it to the stores by themselves. The stores have little to nothing and senior are looking at the younger generations in disbelief.

Certain stores like Gerrity's Supermarkets, Target, Price Chopper and a few other companies have agreed to make special times for seniors to shop.

  • Gerrity’s supermarkets: Anyone 60 and older with identification, Tuesday mornings from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

  • Price Chopper stores: From 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. every day for senior citizens only.

  • Target stores: Senior citizen shopping time the first hour of opening on Wednesdays, and for others with other health issues.

If you know a senior, help them get to the store and shop. We must not be selfish and always think about the people who paved the way for us.
