A towel that the late, Kobe Bryant wore during his farewell speech in 2016 and ticket from Bryant’s last game, were sold during a virtual auction on Sunday. The two items were sold for $33,077.16 according to Jeff Woolf, president of Iconic Auctions.
Bryant and his daughter Gianna were killed in a tragic helicopter crash earlier this year. The two have left a long lasting legacy that will be remembered forever.
There were a number of 16 bids for these items which were apart of the Iconic Auctions’ March 2020 collection.
This isn’t the first time that the towel was sold. The fan who grabbed the towel from Kobe’s shoulder sold it at a previous auction in 2016 for $8,365.
According to CNN, David Kohler, founder of SCP Auctions, bought the 2020 collection. Back in February at the Iconic Auctions February collection, Kohler purchased another Bryant piece.
