Just when some wanted to give up, Tyler Perry gave them a sign of hope. Today, Tyler Perry paid for all of the senior groceries at Winn-Dixie's in Louisiana and Korger's in Georgia
Perry picked up the tab at 44 Kroger Stores in Metro Atlanta and a few Winn-Dixie stores in Louisiana. Shoppers were surprised once their groceries rung up and they were not asked to pay.
Felix Turner, manager of corporate affairs for Kroger’s Atlanta Division told GMA,
“We would like to join our customers in thanking Mr. Perry for his kindness and generosity during this unprecedented pandemic,”.“It was truly a pleasure to see our customers fill with joy and gratitude as the news spread throughout 44 stores across Metro Atlanta.”
Winn- Dixie also released a tweet thanking Perry for paying it forward.
Tyler Perry has not said anything but when shoppers got their receipts it was signed simply, “Atlanta Angel”. This comes just a few days after left a $21,000 tip for restaurant workers in Atlanta
For those that are wondering why Louisiana? Well, Perry was born in Louisiana and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
