Rihanna's CLF Foundation and Jack Dorsey Create Multimillion-dollar Grant Dedicated Towards Dome

Here in the U.S. Jack Dorsey, Twitter and Square CEO, and Rihanna have teamed up to create a multimillion-dollar grant to aid people experiencing domestic violence whose safety has been jeopardized by city and state ‘stay at home’ orders.

Many states have issued their own versions of ‘stay at home’ orders intended to get more people to practice social distancing and slow down the spread of coronavirus.

While for some people staying at home means being stuck at home with family, for other men, women and children that are victims to domestic violence, the ‘stay at home’ orders mean they will be unable to escape from their abuser(s).

Dorsey and Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation created a grant totaling $4.2 million. The grant is intended to go to the Los Angeles Mayor’s fund and will provide 10 weeks of food, shelter, counseling and other forms of support for people suffering from domestic violence.

In other regions of the world women are using code words at pharmacies to discreetly ask for help from employees.
