Hip Hop Legends Support New York Health Care Workers With Benefit Concert 'Hip Hop Loves NY'

 

Hip Hop legends will take the virtual stage for a benefit concert this Thursday. The Universal Hip Hop Museum and Mass appeal teamed up with YouTube to host ‘Hip Hop Loves NY’. The live stream will bring awareness and raise money for New York health care workers that are working on the front line during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

You can expect to see a number of Hip hop legends like, Ice T, Kurtis Blow, Mike Epps, De La Soul, Naughty by Nature, Roxanne Shante Biz Markie, Dave East, Chuck D, Kid N Play, Sugar Hill Gang, Big Daddy Kane and more! The benefit event will also see guest appearances from the community and political leaders including New York State Assemblyman Michael Blake, New York City Deputy Mayor Phillip Thompson, Borough President of the Bronx Rubén Díaz Jr, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, and New York City Public Advocate Jumanne Williams.

 

This event will be hosted on Socialive on Thursday, April 23 at 6 p.m. EST. 

 

According to organizers, all proceeds raised will be donated to OMOS Community Care, a network of over 2,500 healthcare providers throughout New York City and The Bronx Community Relief Effort
