MLB 2020 Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Postponed To 2021

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic many entertainment events that were supposed to take place in person as well as broadcasted live have been moved to a virtual platform or postponed to a later date in 2020. The Baseball Hall of Fame, however, has decided to postpone their induction ceremony until 2021.

The annual induction ceremony is a celebration of Major League Baseball’s most memorable participants. The class of 2020 includes Derek Jeter, Marvin Miller, Ted Simmons and Larry Walker.

The 2021 induction ceremony is scheduled for July 25 in Cooperstown, NY and will combine the class of 2020 and 2021. The Hall of Fame Weekend will last from July 23-26.

The Baseball Hall of Fame has been inducting members since 1936 and has never had to combine inductee classes or cancel a ceremony since 1961.
