Michelle and Barack Obama Will Be Commencement Speakers At Youtube Original's Graduation Ceremon
Our forever president and forever first lady, Barack and Michelle Obama, will be commencement speakers for YouTube Original’s ceremony for the graduating class of 2020.
The announcement was made earlier today via Michelle and Barack Obama’s personal Instagram accounts. Michelle’s post stated that the event is a partnership between her reach higher initiative and YouTube Originals created to help celebrate the accomplishments of 2020 graduates in college and high school.
The name of the event is Dear Class Of 2020 and will take place on June 6, 2020 at 3 p.m. ET. Expected participants are asked to RSVP.
Other Commencement speakers include Lady Gaga, BTS, Sec. Robert M. Gates, Sundar Pichai, Sec. Condoleezza Rice and Malala Yousafzai.
‘Dear Class of 2020’ will also include performances from Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Zendaya, Chloe x Halle, Kerry Washington, AsapSCIENCE, Dude Perfect, Jackie Aina, Mr. Kate, The Try Guys and Zane Hijazi.
The Obama’s and YouTube are the latest to announce an event intended to celebrate the graduating class of 2020. Last month it was announced that Facebook and Instagram are teaming up with Oprah to hold a commencement ceremony for the high school and college graduating class of 2020 with a special performance from Miley Cyrus.
