Legally Blonde 3 Will Be Written By Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor

Legally Blonde 3 has been in the works for a couple of years. Since the original announcement of the movie, the screenplay has switched writers entirely.

Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor are the official new writers for Legally Blonde 3 produced by MGM Film Group, Deadline reported.

New writers mean that there will be a new story line and not a rework of the original writers’ plot.

Kaling and Goor have worked on an untitled comedy project produced by Universal, prior to their team up on Legally Blonde 3. However, individually the two have made their own marks on Hollywood.

Kaling is an actress and producer best known for her TV show, “The Mindy Project”. Her most recent project is the TV drama series titled “The Morning Show”.

Goor is a two-time Emmy winning writer, producer and director. He is best known for his work on Late Night with Conan O’Brien – one of the projects he won an Emmy for - and his most recent project TV series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”.

Reese Witherspoon is said to continue her role as main character ‘Elle Woods’.

No expected date for when production will begin has been announced.
