Lori Loughlin Pleads Guilty For College Admissions Scheme

Approximately two years ago, actress and star of the 90’s sitcom, “Full House”, Lori Loughlin, was caught in the middle of a college admissions scandal.

Loughlin was one of over 50 individuals that were caught participating in this bribery scheme, including her husband.

Loughlin and her husband paid half a million dollars to get their children into the University of Southern California. The children were accepted into the university as athletics students a part of the rowing team. Many individuals in the scandal paid for children to get into colleges and universities across the country as a member of underfunded or under recognized athletic teams.

Loughlin and her husband pleaded guilty via a Zoom call despite the fact that their case was scheduled to go to trial in October. The couple proposed a deal that will result in each of them serving sometime in prison. Loughlin will be serving two months and her husband Mossimo Giannulli will be serving five months if their deal is accepted by the judge.

The proposed deal also includes Loughlin paying a $150,000 dollars fine and completing 100 hours of community service and Mossimo will pay a $250,000 dollar fine and complete 250 hours of community service.

Their guilty plea was a complete turnaround to their self-proclaimed innocence since they were charged.
