President Donald Trump seems to be upset about Twitters new ‘fact checking’ rules. Twitter recently shared that they will apply a fact check flag to certain tweets. Well, one of Trump’s recent tweets has been hit with a flag. According to Twitter, the tweets from President Trump were "potentially misleading".
On Wednesday he wrote on Twitter, “Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices.” “We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen. We saw what they attempted to do, and failed, in 2016. We can’t let a more sophisticated version of that .... happen again.” He also threatened to take “Big Action”.
Trump may be mad but Twitter created a set of rules specifically for him. This raises many red flags and leaves us wondering why did he received his own set of rules.
”They're not treating him the way they treat everybody else,”. “They came up with a separate set of rules just for him, which is fact-checking, because they're too afraid of his bullying to delete the tweet or suspend him.” The social media giant's action and Trump's response rekindled simmering frustration among Republicans who say their voices are being censored on platforms with workforces concentrated in liberal-leaning Silicon Valley" Michael Pachter, research analyst at Wedbush Securities, told FOX Business.
