New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has announced that nonessential retail stores and outdoor dining in the state of New Jersey are set to reopen. These locations will reopen on June 15 with a few restrictions as part of ‘Stage 2’.
A week after nonessential retail stores and outdoor dining are open, salons will follow as the state transitions to “Stage 2”. New Jersey will most likely reopen gyms and health clubs shortly after.
Murphy also announced that the Garden State was No. 1 in daily testing per capita according to NBC. "As we open, we know there is a greater chance for transmission of COVID19," the governor said. "There is no cure. There is no vaccine. There is no proven therapeutic. The only cure is responsibility. Safety will continue to be our number one priority."
