Conor McGregor Announces His Retirement, Again

Conor McGregor, two-time UFC Champion has announced that he will be retiring from MMA, again.

Gregor made the announcement on Saturday after the UFC 250 fight between Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer.

However, fans are having trouble believing McGregor is actually done with the world of MMA and fighting seeing as he has announced his retirement twice before. The first time was in 2016 and most recently in 2019.

McGregor posted the news on Twitter and said, "Hey guys I’ve decided to retire from fighting. Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it's been!

"Here is a picture of myself and my mother in Las Vegas post one of my world title wins! Pick the home of your dreams Mags I love you! Whatever you desire it’s yours."

Fans believe that McGregor's announcement is a publicity stunt. Some speculate it was to avoid fighting Nick Diaz, as there were speculations that the two would meet in the ring again.

Others believe it is to promote upcoming fights seeing as before the pandemic McGregor was supposed to participate in a total of three fights for the year and only participated in one.

Are you sad to see McGregor go or  are you hoping that the retirement will stick?
