A Boogie With Da Hoodie donates $100,000 worth of tablets and laptops to his former elementary schoo

Bronx rapper, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has agreed to donate $100,000 worth of tablets and laptops to his former elementary school, P.S. 126.

A Boogie made the announcement of his donation via Instagram. A Boogie stated that the donation comes as a part of the release of his deluxe project that will be released on June 19.

A Boogie’s donation is intended to help students “do their remote learning in the safest way.”

“I believe it's important to invest in the youth because by doing so, we are investing in a better future.” , he continued.

Although New York City has begun its reopening process, it is important to note that there is still uncertainty as to whether or not the children will be able to return to their physical classrooms this coming fall semester. Many health and government officials have predicted that there will be a second spike in the number of COVID-19 cases (and possibly deaths) for New York City as a few parts of the country are beginning to experience their second spike.

Health and government officials have predicted New York City would experience their second spike starting the ending of summer and beginning of fall. However, those predictions were prior to the Black Lives Matter protests that took place across the city and the world. Now many believe the second spike of COVID-19 cases may come quicker and last longer, bringing even more uncertainty to when and if educational institutions among other businesses will return to their pre-pandemic operation ways.
