Cindy McCain Endorses Biden

Cindy McCain told the Today Show on Wednesday, “He’s the better man” when discussing her endorsement of Joe Biden. McCain is an influential voice in the swing state of Arizona.

McCain is the widow of 2008 Republican nominee, senator John McCain. Tuesday night she took to Twitter to let America know that although she is a Republican, she’s breaking party ranks in support of the Democratic nominee. Cindy’s statement, “My husband John lived by a code: country first. We are Republicans, yes, but Americans foremost. There's only one candidate in this race who stands up for our values as a nation, and that is @JoeBiden.”

Biden responded hours later thanking Cindy for her support, reminding the people that this election is bigger than one person, and it requires all of us to come together as one to “restore the soul of the nation.”

It comes as no surprise that Cindy McCain announced endorsing Joe Biden. Her late husband John McCain, was a bitter nemesis of Donald Trump. Their rivalry dates back long before Trump stepped foot in the political realm, and only worsened in 2015 when Trump was locked in for the race. Not even senator McCain’s death in 2018 could stop the President from hurling insults or complaining about McCain’s stance on Obama Care. Trump simply never liked John McCain, and never will.

In March of 2019 Trump tweeted: "So it was indeed (just proven in court papers) “last in his class” (Annapolis) John McCain that sent the Fake Dossier to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election. He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual). Even the Fake News refused this garbage!”. Bare in mind, he presented absolutely no proof that McCain was behind the dossier.

Cindy McCain’s endorsement represents the confusing climate of this presidential race. She is yet another high profile republican that has come out in support of Biden. Cindy joins names like Mitt Romney to Colin Powell, who would ordinarily rep red … but have no choice but to side with the blue.
