Deal Or No Deal: Trump Postpones Stimulus Negotiations Until After Election Day

If you were expecting another stimulus check anytime soon, President Trump killed any anticipation. Revealing Tuesday that he wouldn't agree to a deal until "after I win." Even though the president himself is recovering from COVID-19, he is now singing in a different tune.

President Trump explained that he rejected the $2.2 trillion deal, feeling that Nancy Pelosi was only asking for that figure to “ bailout poorly run, high crime, Democrat States, money that is in no way related to COVID-19," Trump stated "We made a very generous offer of $1.6 Trillion Dollars and, as usual, she is not negotiating in good faith. I am rejecting their request, and looking to the future of our Country."

However, Trump made it clear that although he is not considering a stimulus bill anytime soon - he will not be shifting his attention from his nominee to the United States Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett. Trump mentioned in his statement that he told Mitch McConnell to fast track Amy’s nomination to the Supreme Court, despite tons of pushback from Democrats.

White House speaker Nancy Pelosi responded by saying the White House is in complete disarray. Pelosi responds, "Today, once again, President Trump showed his true colors: putting himself first at the expense of the country, with the full complicity of the GOP Members of Congress."
