CyHi The Prynce Says Someone Tried to Gun Him Down on Highway

CyHi The Prynce weekend wasn't ideal. The rapper recently shared details via social media about his horrific crash, which unfortunately includes being shot at.
On Sunday (Feb 14.), the artist revealed that someone tried to gun him down on the highway, which ultimately caused his truck to crash and flip over.
"Today is a day of love, but in my city (referring to Atlanta), there's no love here anymore," he stated in an Instagram post, which also included pictures of the totaled vehicle.
"A couple of nights ago, there was an attempt on my life...
somebody tried to gun me down on the highway. I tried my best to lose them, but they were adamant about taking me off this earth. They were shooting at me while I was driving, and even after my car flipped, hit a pole, and crashed into a tree, they came back and shot the car up some more."
CyHi then went on to share his concerns and uncertainty surrounding the potential reasoning for the life-threatening incident.
"At this point, I don't know if it was a mistaken identity, a robbery, or associated with something I did when I was younger, but I haven't been in the streets in over a decade," the rapper explained.
Later CyHi made a statement addressing the culprits, "I want to let the people who are trying to kill me know that I am not a bad person. I don't want revenge; I want closure and understanding. Everyone in Atlanta, please protect yourself, stay out of the way and be careful because it could all be over in a second. I understand there's a lot of beef going on in my city between different crews that are driven by music...but it is time that we all have a sit-down and have a peace meeting."
The ATL native concluded by urging others in the city to stop the violence. "It's time to stop the violence in Atlanta," he said. "I don't have all the answers, and I don't have the power to stop it, but I do feel like somebody gotta say something.
There have been numerous violent-related events that have impacted the hip-hop world in the past few months. Recently in November, King Von was shot and killed outside a hookah bar in Atlanta. And that is one of the many rappers we lost to violence, so it is great to see that CyHi could tell his story.
