You can’t have a pop legend conversation without mentioning the great Janet Jackson. Jackson is finally getting some of the flowers that she deserves with a two-night documentary event that is set to air on A&E and Lifetime simultaneously.

The premiere coincides with the 40th anniversary of her self-titled 1982 album. The two hour long premiere will be airing for two nights in the announcement made by A+E. The documentary has a working title of “JANET”, and will take viewers through Jacksons’ life and career containing never-before-seen footage and feature home videos from the legendary artist.

The doc includes Jackson discussing the incident at the 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance with Justin Timberlake, her father Joe Jackson and their relationship, and the death of her brother Michael Jackson while also touching on her personal life and the road she took to motherhood.

Jackson is named as an executive producer on the project in addition to Randy Jackson with Ben Hirsh as a director. “JANET” is set to air in early 2022 on A&E and Lifetime.
