Micheal B. Jordan Confirmed To Grace The Directors Seat of Creed 3

When the announcement of Creed 3 was made, the speculation over who would be sitting in the empty directors seat began. Since Ryan Coogler and Steven Caple Jr. directed the first two Creed films and Micheal B. Jordan had already expressed interest in possibly directing a film, it was a natural assumption to make. The rumors circulated but haven’t been confirmed, until now. During an interview, fellow Creed franchise star Tessa Thompson provided the proof along with a small piece of advice for the actor turned director.

During her interview with MTV News Thompson confirmed that Micheal B Jordan will be directing Creed 3 and gave her thoughts on how she felt this would alter the film. Thompson alluded that the way Jordan approached the film as an actor was similar to a director. “He is directing the next Creed. It’s gonna be ammo, I think, for me when he is engaging with me as a director. I’m just going to tell him to dial down the sexiness.” It’s obvious the last statement was a joke playing off his recent win for “Sexiest Man Alive”

The pieces are falling into place for the finale in the Creed trilogy although it’ll probably be a while before we hear any further developments such as a release date but it’s nice to know that another Black man will be gracing the director's seat for the final Creed.
