NYPD Shuts down An Underground Club That Was over 150 People Deep

An illegal nightclub in Queens, New York got shut down early Sunday morning, and the attendance numbers were jaw dropping - officials walked in on more than 164 massless people partying in the midst of a global pandemic.

Partygoers entered through a rear alleyway -- to keep this operation under wraps.

New York City has extremely strict health guidelines, indoor or outdoor gatherings of more than 10 people are not allowed in private homes, and gatherings of more than 50 people are not allowed whatsoever.

This shindig not only violated health guidelines, but also New York fire violations and worst of all - they didn’t even have a liquor license. They are especially strict when it comes to non essential businesses or events.

It appears that New Yorkers are missing the nightlife that they’re accustomed to. New York City officials have been cracking down on underground parties for over a month. Last month, officials shut down an illegal club in Midtown Manhattan which hosted nearly 400 people for a party at the height of the pandemic.

A DJ and two unlicensed security guards who helped orchestrate this super spreader extravaganza, were all charged with violating COVID-19-related regulations.

Hookah and empty bottles adorned the room as city officials made their way through the meeting.
