Police use Taser on 2 people during fight at Atlanta airport; 3 charged

Shortly after police stated a dispute broke out at the TSA security checkpoint at Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson airport, three people were indicted. After the Atlanta officer ended up having to use his taser in the process, police stated.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers were informed of the fight at the TSA checkpoint just around 7:30 a.m. that morning.

Police said their early accounts and examinations show that three passengers - two of whom are 19 and another one who's 17 - were trying to get through the checkpoint, but one of them didn't have his ID.

The Police went on to say the TSA employee and the three got into a dispute in which onlookers said the group was " disruptive and speaking disrespectfully to the TSA associate."

At that point, police said a bystander advised the three of their irrational behavior, but that triggered at least two groups to "attack" the bystanders.

An officer then got to the checkpoint and used his taser to subdue two of them. The third "surrendered without force," according to police reports.

Police detained the three and charged them with Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct.

No injuries were recorded, according to police, and airport operations were uninterrupted.
