Rare Nike Jordan 1s are being auctioned as a celebration for “The Last Dance”

There has been a high demand for the legendary “Royal Toe” Jordan 1s that sold out in minutes last weekend; the pair was recently featured in the hit documentary series “The Last Dance,” chronicling the 1997-1998 championship for the Chicago Bulls season.

Michael Jordan's captivating basketball career and sneaker brand have flourished throughout the pandemic, we have also learned that he will receive an endorsement this upcoming weekend.

Hosted by The "Sotheby's" auction house, the online trade will be selling red, black, and white Nike Air Jordan 1s that are autographed and worn by Michael Jordan himself in 1985.

The Air Jordan brand has solidified its legacy in basketball along; with influencing the sneaker culture. Air Jordan 1s are not only the most popular Nike sneaker but they were the first pair of Jordan's Michael publicly wore.

According to the documentary, Michael Jordan originally wanted to sign to Adidas but the three-striped brand turned the deal down. However, Nike accepted the offer and signed the deal, and of course, mama knows best, she was the main reason Jordan decided to sign with Nike. The company made 126 million dollars that year.
