Road to 50 Billion Streams: Drake Sets Yet Another Career Record

Drake is a household name in the world of rap today, and the 34-year-old artist isn't showing any signs of letting up going into the new year.

It seems like the Toronto rapper has broken every record, from his single "One Dance" becoming the first single to cross the 1 billion mark on Spotify or even passing the notorious Beatles for most songs to chart on the top ten Billboard Hot 100. He's done it again with another career-defining achievement.

Chartdata, an industry chart platform, recently reported that Drizzy has just made history as the first artist to surpass 50 billion combined Spotify streams. According to Chartdata, Drake "has now reached 50 billion streams on Spotify. He's the first artist to achieve this feat in history."

Some went as far as to state that Drake streams on Spotify are so high that it would be almost unfair to add up all his streams on all the platforms, respectfully.

And with his highly anticipated LP" Certified Lover Boy" that is expected to drop in the first portion of this year, Drake's streams are bound to continue to rise.

Furthermore, Drizzy and Meek Mill were rumored to be shooting a video in the Bahamas for the Toronto rapper's upcoming project.

But with no definite release date in sight, we'll have to wait to see what the rapper has to offer next.
