Rudy Giuliani Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Rudy Giuliani is in the hospital after testing positive for Covid-19. Giuliani had been hard at work as President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, trying to overturn the presidential election results.

The 76-year old former New York Mayor was admitted to Georgetown University Hospital on Sunday. He is among those considered “high-risk” for complications stemming from the coronavirus, considering his age and weight. Giuliani took to his Twitter prior to the official announcement, confirming the positive diagnosis. Giuliani would tweet: "Getting great care and feeling good." After barely settling into the hospital bed.

President Donald Trump sent Rudy some well wishes via Twitter: “Get better soon Rudy, we will carry on!!!" Before calling for the American people to pray for Giuliani.

Giuliani had been on a campaign trail of his own, pushing Trump's unverified claims of voter fraud. In many of Giuliani’s recent public appearances, he is seen without a mask. Giuliani is seen “mask-less” as recently as Thursday, when he met with Georgia lawmakers.

According to NBC, Giuliani becomes the 20th person in Trump’s circle to test positive for the coronavirus since election night. Giuliani’s son tested positive for the virus a month prior, after attending some of Trump’s November events. Christiane Allen, his spokesperson, tested positive late last month and had been quarantining after the mid-November news conference

As of right now, it is still unclear as to when Giuliani received a positive test for Covid-19.
