The Show Must Go On: Everything You Need To Know About The 93rd Academy Awards

In show business, the show must always go on. Although it has been delayed, the 93rd Academy Awards will be back and better than ever with some strict rules in place. The golden statues will be handed out in different locations - including international ones via satellite. With a third of the Oscars production budget set aside for safety protocols, today's Academy award ceremony should be the safest and most exciting one yet.

All participants will be wearing face masks at all times, including backstage, and are only allowed to remove them in front of the cameras. An audience will be in attendance but will be capped at 170 people while also being roasted in and out of the ceremony. The ceremony itself is expected to look more like a movie rather than a television show according to producers. Those who are less interested in the awards and more into fashion will still get their fix with a smaller red carpet as producers told attendees to avoid casual attire.

An official host has not been announced so it seems the show will go without a host for the third year in a row. There may not be a host but there will be presenters. Included in the lineup are last year's winners Joaquin Phoenix, Renee Zellweer, Brad Pitt, and Laura Dern as well as Bong Joon-Ho.

For the first time more than one woman has been nominated in the best Director category: Chloe Zhao and Emerald Fennell. Zhao is the first woman of Asian descent to be nominated in this category.
